Catching up!

     Wow it's been so long since I posted on here and it's been so much going on I don't know where to start lol. The year is closing out and I'm proud to say that I accomplished prett much everything I said I was gonna do so I'm happy :-). The greatest thing about any type of voyage are the lessons learned along the way. I've made some incredible new friends, written some amazing songs, and came a year closer to becoming the man I want to be. Next year, I plan on creating an even bigger splash! New and bigger songs accompanied by an even stronger team to help me execute my dream. Thanks to all my friends and family for helping and believing in me..hold on for the next wave of craziness!

A successful mindset

I had a very insightful conversation with a friend last night about what it takes to make it. We spoke on how so many people think that just "showing up" will be enough to get the job done. LOL, boy are they in for a surprise...if that was the case then there wouldn't be 3 million struggling artist in LA alone! Before you can sit at Starbucks and join in on the gripes all the artist have with the industry, you have to take a really close look at yourself and ask..."Am I really doing all I can to make it?" If that answer isn't a very clear & big "YES" then you need to revisit your game plan. So what... you can sing, act, dance or produce...so can everyone else! If the talent is already in place then your focus needs to rest on the development of business a d networking skills. For some of you that may suck if you were planning on just being creative and letting everyone else handle the boring stuff. You should at least know enough about multiple things to get the ball rollin and create enough momentum to attract people that'll take it from there. Be creative not just in your art form but also in your approach and you'll get further than you ever have before!

My 25th BIRTHDAY!

 

 

 

 

My friends joined me in celebrating my 25th Birthday at Firefly in Studio City, CA and it was amazing! This year my birthday fell on a Monday so the spot was pretty much empty, good for us cause we had the WHOLE place to ourselves! My brother BK came through and of course I was accompanied by the beautful Ashli aka @sleepysongbird_ for those of you who follow us on twitter. All in all the night was dope and I kicked of this milestone year with my friends and family, thanks for the great time ya'll! Now, onto making this year another success :-)

Hustlemania!

So it's been a minute since I've focused on anything other than music. I'm really feeling like now that that ball is finally rolling at a somewhat decent pace I can start getting some stuff poppin on the side and get my money right. It's only cool to be uncomfortable if it's for a purpose...and for a certain legnth of time as well. So here it goes, giving myself till my 25th birthday to totally change my situation. It's not that long of a time but I really like the pressure...I love rising to the occasion so let's see how it goes!!!!!!!!!

Wrote a concept that I been sitting on for almost a year last night, and it came out great! Livio Hit me back today with an email ranting bout how big of a record it is haha! Got my finger's crossed and hope your are too...this is my year baby!!!!!!

A good start

So it's been a whirlwind of a year. The partnership I formed with my friend Bluu Suede is better than I ever could have hoped for. We have so many opportunities coming our way that I can't help but be excited! Hopefully soon we'll have something get released so I can FINALLY play some of our music for you guys!

Reflection

I def haven't been consistent with my blogging as of late. Probably cause I've been working hard to make SURE this year changes my life! I'm very satisfied with all of my new songs and the reception to them has been incredible. I've got new management, a great writing partner, and a new cast of friends. 2009 definitely feels like me coming into my own and really creating the definition of who IYOBOSA "ENPHO" IGHEDOSA really is as a man and creative being.

Fresh New Start

Wow, 2009 has started off great! Obama made history official and ironically so many things have had a new start in my life as well. My partnership with Bluu has been going well, haven't been this productive in a long while! The new songs are making a lotta noise and the attention is amazing. Closer than ever to getting my first placement and then well...that's all she wrote! I've been told that the work for my pub deal is done, all that's left is for me to focus on staying consistent with my quality of work. It's a strange feeling to be listening to my own "catalogue of work"...ha, been waiting sooo long to have one lol! This is def a year for the history books, worldwise and personally as it's gonna prove to be the springboard year for my career. There's been everything from a new car, new apt, and even new love in my life...I'm just so thankful to God for everything, especially for giving me the strength to make it through all I set out to do.
